Experience with Dr. Gordillo/Ajax Hospital

If you have delivered at Ajax Hospital could you please share your experience ?? Also has anyone had Dr. Gordillo as their ob? Even more specifically has anyone had him do for a c-section for them?? This is my 2nd pregnancy & the OB who handled my first & that I loved is now out on Mat leave, so I have been referred to Gordillo. First baby was delivered in Oshawa & that’s what we were hoping for again.

My delivery was taken care by Dr. Gordillo as he was doc on duty. His nurse Catharine is amazing and was very supportive during the whole labour process and answered all my questions calmly. I had vaginal delivery with 2nd degree stiches. Nurses were communicating with doc all the situation - he came at the end when baby head was visible to delivery Overall I was very satisfied.

I delivered at Ajax hospital on March 2022. I didn’t have Dr Gordillo, however I delivered with my OB Dr Shereen. In L&D my experience was amazing, all the nurses, anesthesiologist and my ob were incredible. However once moved to the maternal ward for recovery my experience wasn’t as great. Those nurses weren’t as attentive, all except one nurse whom had a student following her- they were amazing and I appreciated them so very much

I delivered at Ajax with different OB but dr Gordillo had done emergency surgery (at Ajax) on me a couple of years previously/ ovarian cyst rupture and hemorrhage into the peritoneum, 2L of blood in my stomach. He probably saved my life. No complications and healed well post op. Not a c section but thought I’d let you know my experience!
