Get your first a present “from” the new baby. Our son was just 2 when our second was born and bringing him a little present home when we brought his sister made the transition go really smoothly. He still sleep with the stuffy every night and he knows that his sister got him it. Also if you don’t have a wrap or carrier already definitely get one. It saved me the first few months
