C-section advice FTM

Hi, my baby is breech and has been almost all the way through. I had an ECV to try and turn baby today but that didn’t work so am now booked in for a C-section next week. Any advice for what to expect or things I might need? Feel like I’d done lots of prep for what to expect in labour and now it’s all changed. Thanks in advance.

The one thing I learnt was don't be afraid to ask for help well your still in recovery 🤗

First of all get that support belt for your belly for postpartum it’ll help lessen the pain when you’re walking, also will need them special socks for operation, first poop going to be scary but you’ll make it 😂🥰 I haven’t had breach c-section but I had planned one due to my health issues xx

Take the stool softeners afterwards!! Don’t be a hero. It will be scary and you will probably shake and shiver - that’s normal. Ask for your partner to be there with you. They may try to keep them outside but don’t take no for an answer. It actually goes very quickly and they want you up and walking soon after. Take the pain meds and let them help you. You will probably/might get sick when you try to move around the first couple of times. Keep a bucket nearby.
