From what I’ve read I don’t think they do☹️ it’s why I opted for southmead so it was one less hassle as any appointments I’ve had at the EPU at St Michael’s have been awful for parking besides one
Every time I go for my appointments the parking is a disaster. I don't even know what we'll do when I go in to labour 😂 Just hope it's 4am I suppose.
I had my daughter there in dec 2020 and if I can remember they changed to parking eye around that time and it was them that made it difficult. As st michaels don’t have anything to do with it now I believe x
I gave birth in 2021 and if your in labour they give you an exemption for parking charges I think you may put a note that they give you in your car window can’t really remember! But that’s just for if your in labour of you have to stay in after you’ve given birth whoever visit you will still have to pay the parking charges x
Parking is ok, you just have to allow extra time. I’ve had a complicated pregnancy so I’ve been here every other week. I park along tyndfield avenue adjacent to the hospital. That’s about a 2-3 minute walk. There is a parking app called Ringo which is pretty easy to use. 9/10 I get a space here, or a stone throw away is other parking on street paid for. I allow half an hour for travel, 15 minutes for Parking and 15 minutes extra so it’s not rushed and stressful. I’m here at the minute as had a c-section today. You get one week of free parking. Asking for a parking permit at the central delivery suite and you can park in the nearby NHS car parks (which I don’t usually use). I’ve had my baby today and the staff have been absolutely outstanding. I think that’s the most important thing. Being cared for in your time of need with the utmost care. Honestly, blown away by their attentiveness, proactiveness and dedication. Anyway, off on a tangent 😅 but in summary there is parking…
I had my baby at St Michaels in July and we could never get parked in either car park but always found space on the roads. When I was in labour there were no spaces anywhere so we parked in a loading bay and my partner went out and moved the car once I was in and settled. A couple of my friends managed to park in the car park at every scan so I think it’s just luck! Try not to stress about it though as you can’t really forward plan (unless you organise a lift) and there are usually spaces somewhere on the surrounding roads! X
I had my baby in june and parking was ok, a little hit and miss but we managed. I stayed in hospital for a week and NOBODY told me we could ask on the ward at reception for a parking pass, we spent nearly £100 on parking and by the time we found out it was to late. so when you check in ask for the pass for parking!!
Just to add: I went today and if anyone happens to have a non euro 6 car, you can get a daily exemption pass for the new clean air zone in the main lobby for appointments etc
Following as we want to know the same
