These are massively advised against by medical experts/midwives etc. its not good for the baby and sometimes you think its the baby’s heart beat but its actually your own so please don’t use it for reassurance either. If you want to use them id take it to your midwife and get her to show you how xx

I've been using it and yes if you don't know what your listening for you can confuse your heartbeat with the babies. But I'm 18 weeks and I've been using it. Never for a huge amount of time but I love hearing her move and occasionally getting the heartbeat. Also I've had better luck finding the heartbeat on the side where i feel her sometimes-rarely in the center of my belly.

@Brittany thank you!!

Yeah I have one that a friend lent me and have not been advised against it at all by my doctor and midwife. My GP actually used one on me and showed me what to look for (you can easily mistake the placenta for the heart), I’ve only tried it twice at home and I managed to find the heartbeat myself around 18 weeks !

@Tori no problem and good luck! If you have wiggle worm like me they don't let you stay on it for long lol!

Yes I use one almost everyday!
