Nervous about lip tie

Baby is 5 months and never was checked for a lip tie ? Had such a struggle with breastfeeding. The journey came to an end for me unfortunately. And now I am so upset because I think it was due to the lip tie. Why didn't the hospital check his mouth better? Or the pediatrician? I'm sad and feel like a horrible mother cause I never noticed it. Through recovery with the emergency c section and terribly traumatized labor I just never thought to check it. Sad. I feel like my breastfeeding journey was sabotaged by the hospital.
