Tameside hospital

i’m just wondering anyone thats given birth at tameside recently how it works with how long your partner can stay? it’s only gonna be me and my partner when i give birth ( im due in june ) and im just thinking about it because we live in Hadfield it’s obviously a distance from the hospital that he can only stay for certain times as he doesn’t drive or anything so im worried about him being sent home and possibly missing the birth or anything like that because it could take him a while to get back up to tameside, probably overthinking it but the hospitals website doesn’t seem very updated last time i checked

Once you're in a birthing suite your partner can stay with you the entire time, once you've delivered you will be sent on to ward 27 which is ladies only but visiting hours are 10am onwards (not sure end time) x

If you get induced (ward 27) then the visiting hours for birth partners is 10am-8pm. If you’re on the ward 27 and they think you’re close to labour they’ll usually let your partner stay with you after visiting hours have finished. I’m pretty sure if you go into labour naturally then your partner comes in with you and when you’re on the labour ward there is no visiting hours and your partner can stay the whole time. Then if you need to stay in for a bit you go up to the post natal ward and that’s the same visiting hours as ward 27 xx
