I had my daughter oct 2021, I also have a uterine prolapse, I'm currently pregnant with #2. I'm 18 weeks pregnant. There might be some complications during pregnancy depending on how severe the prolapse is. But as of now the only problem I noticed was increased spotting during the first trimester which they couldn't confirm was due to the prolapse. Since the first trimester is always so sensitive they think it was normal spotting. It is possible to have more babies. The only issue would be if you get the surgery to fix the prolapse, everytime I asked my doctor about it they asked me if I was done having children. It's never a guarantee but it can effect having children from the surgery.

I have a uterine prolapse and currently 27 weeks pregnant tomorrow with my second child. I currently have physio referred by my doctors which is basically pelvic floor exercises so would defo say to do them as it is starting to make a difference xx

Thankyou both so much. I don’t feel so alone now. Can I ask what treatment you have had @Karina? Can I ask how do you feel having sex? As since I have found out I haven’t been able to bring myself to have sex. I just think there’s ‘no where for it to go’ if you know what I mean🙈 plus I worry will it damage the organ? Thankyou both again, I really appreciate the replies x

Not had any problem with having sex, it was my partner that noticed I had it before myself through intercourse. It doesn’t bother him so I don’t let it bother me. The thought of him poking the baby’s head bothers him more which we all know can’t happen 😂 xx

Pelvic floor exercises I what was recommended. I was on a waiting list for physical therapy for it. But then I got pregnant and couldn't go with it since I have a high risk pregnancy they don't want to risk anything. But while I waited I did kegel exercises daily. I felt a difference in bulge sensation and felt like it was less. Sex is not an issue. I don't feel it. At first I was concerned too but it went away quickly. No pain or discomfort on our end. It is more of a mind over matter thing. I felt like it was the end of the world but it got better. It will take some time and effort but it can get better.

A prolapse shouldn't affect your ability to get pregnant. I have a prolapse and conceived my second pretty much right away.

@Maria Murphy I’m 30 weeks with my second and I suspect I have uterine prolapse (going to get a confirmation) is there anything I should know about delivery from your experience that a doctor might not tell me?
