Date for cesarean

@Peir mine have been heavy bleeds it's horrible this it my 3rd pregnancy and had nothing like this with the other 2 x

I had placenta praevia and my section was when my daughter was 37 weeks and 5 days old. I had two steroid injections before for her lungs xx

@Bethy was it a planned section and did you have previous pregnancies xx

I was in hospital with consistent bleeding from 35wks, c section booked for 37wks as they didn’t want to do it any earlier. Waters broke so ended up having c section 36+2! 😊 I’m sure 37wks is earliest they like to do it if you have constant bleeds xx

@Mills okay thankyou I think I'm just scared to go into labour because I've been told it can be so dangerous xx

@Jen don’t be scared! I went in to labour and then had the c section 6 hrs later, they keep monitoring you constantly to make sure your contractions aren’t frequent. Mine were every ten mins and i felt absolutely fine so was happy to wait. If they got worse they would have moved the c section sooner - it was sort of like a semi emergency but still very calm xx

@Jen it was a planned Caesarian and I had a previous emergency Caesarian under general anaesthetic 😢

@Mills thankyou this is abit reassuring I don't live too far from the hospital so I would be able to get there pretty quickly I'll just wait to see what they say at my scan on the 31st see what ny date will be xx

@Bethy I get my date on the 31st see when mine is going to be I've never had a c-section before x

I’ve had one bleed at 26 weeks (with contractions) and have my c-section scheduled for exactly 36 weeks. They really don’t want me going any further than that.

@Hannah Freeman that's what I was thinking because I went into labour with my first at 37 weeks contractions started at just after half 6 in the morning my waters broke at quarter to 7 and he was born at 4 minutes past on the living room floor and the paramedics arrived just after he was born and then my second one lot of my waters were trickling for 4 days and I had him at 36 weeks exactly so can't see them letting me go to 39 weeks

I had a full previa with no bleeds. I was still schedule for a C-section at 37 weeks. Baby was healthy and we left the hospital after 4 days

They have booked mine for the 3rd of may (39 weeks exactly) I'm in hospital yet again for a 4th time tonight though x

I’m concerned for the same reason you are. This is my 3rd, my doc wants me to wait until 39 weeks before c-section, but I went into labor and delivered my second at 38 weeks. I’m not sure the reasoning for waiting since everything I’ve read says to do the c-section between 36 and 37+6.
