Hi, ladies is it true ? That if your first baby was a premie baby then there is a high chance the next one will also be premie .

I hope it not true cause if it is like that then I’ll be worry on every single pregnancy and my husband want 4 babies . If it happens again I’m not having no more babies . I’ll just stay with two it was very tough for me to see my first born in the NICU and always coming Back forth to the hospital I ended up with PPD and went to NICU support group.

So I’ve heard and it’s also my worry, but I keep telling myself that every pregnancy is different and other people can go onto have full term pregnancies after, it’s just one of them things you won’t know until it happens😩

It was true for me, my first son came at 32+4 then my second son came at 31+6, however during my second pregnancy they told me I should go full term and because I didn’t they’re now saying it’s because of the shape of my uterus☺️

Yes i’ve 3 prem babies and already been told to expect number 4 early. Mine went 34 weeks, 28 weeks, 34 weeks and this one is expected at 32weeks. Each time i’m high risk because of it and put on bed rest which sucks majorly, on a plus though huge care, seen every 2/3weeks and scans every 2/3 weeks

Hey hun, I have been led to believe that the term of your 2nd baby goes on many determine factors; why was your first early, is it the same partner, your age, your lifestyle ect x

Yes. My last 3 babies were all preemies

@Neve I had preeclampsia.

@Neve and I had gestational diabetes and hypertension

@Yavi🧿 hi yes I had this and gestational diabetes, I delivered my eldest at 29w and 4d and I am now 22 weeks pregnant with my second, I am being closely monitored and I have an appointment every 3 weeks and at my 20 week appointment I was told there’s no signs or PreE or anything to indicate it’s going to show, if I stay the same they will deliver me at around 37 weeks. My mum had preeclampsia in her first pregnancy and delivered early then with her 2nd and 3rd she went to full term/ 37 weeks xx

@Neve yeah that was goal to deliver at 37 weeks or 38 weeks. But plans changed and I gave birth at 34 weeks

That might be true because second pregnancy kid usually come before the due date while the first one usually after the due date so if you do the math it’s logical!

@Christelle omg 😭😭😭😭

OMG that's scary I never knew that! a lot of people are saying it's true and my son was a preemie 😲

@Christina well at least I’ll be ready if it happens again .

😔

@Fran do you know the reason of preterm pregnancies?

@Gillian aww.. im glad that she is all grown-up and healthy

It was true for me. I had my first at 32+2 and my second at 35+3. For my second pregnancy and now my third pregnancy my doctor put me on weekly progesterone shots, it helps keep baby in longer. Talk with your doctor about it. I’m currently 32 weeks and having some contractions but they aren’t causing me to dilate yet. I did get steroid shots last week when the contractions started to assist with baby’s lung and brain development just in case. Every week is a win.
