Like… just teddy?.. as the whole name not a nick name or anything?….
Teddy’s a nice name and popular in the UK
Love! It's so cute and if Theodore or Edward can be so many 😊
I think it’s becoming very popular in the UK, its like number 15 in the polls, depends if popularity bothers you.
I like teddy nickname wud be ted when older
My little one is Theodore but we call him teddy :)
Love the name x
I think it’s cute for a small boy but there after not. Imagine being a teenager called teddy. Or for a job interview. I’d defo have it as short for something
Cute name but so so popular in the UK!
I don’t like it but I’m from Australia and it’s not a common name here. I just couldn’t imagine it on a full grown man.
I love it ♥️ however I'd probably use Theodore officially for when they're older incase they wish to use another nickname.
Nope. My boy is Theodore but NOT a Teddy. I’ve never understood it. It’s not masculine at all. As a baby it’s fine but growing up and being a Teddy when you’re a 6 ft 5 body builder just isn’t it 🤣
I love it as a name!! I don’t see the point in giving your child a longer name just to then call him Teddy.. just name him what you like - in my opinion
I love Teddy. I knew a grown man called teddy it suited him was the norm I wouldnt listen to the comments about when he's older, you can say that about any name.

I love it - it’s on my list!
Our cockapoo is called Teddy 😅 but I love it as a baby name also! Agree could be nice as a nickname for Theodore!
@Kate I just imagined and it really didn’t bother me? I think personally it says more about a person judging someone for their name than about the person having the name. But that’s just me.
I love Teddy x
I really like Teddy - although it has fairly popular recently. if you aren't sure about using Teddy as a full name - it's super cute for a little boy, but potentially may not age brilliantly - you could use it as a nickname for Theodore, Tedmond, Thaddeus, Edward, Edmund, Edwin, Edgar, Edison, Tedrick, Tedros or even Arthur, as the name means "bear" - that way, he'd have options as he grew older as to whether he felt Teddy still suited him or not. 💙
I’ve got a Teddie middle name is John so he can choose from Ted or TJ
I like it, but i don’t like Ted which it will probably get shortened to by his friends.
I think it's cute for a baby/toddler but I think a teen and young adult would hate it.... Imagine you doctor or dentist being called teddy
My boss goes by Teddy.. I love it and wanted to name my boy Theodore and use teddy as a nickname but didn’t want to be weird, lol! No one I work with has ever said they though his name is too childish or isn’t masculine enough. It’s just…his name :)
Becoming very popular! Something to consider if you’re not overly in love with it.
@Kylie Honestly why do people think like this?! I really don’t understand, genuine question? So you choose your dentist and doctor based on their name? I really couldn’t care less what they’re called as long as they do a good job.
Far too popular now
@Kristie it's just my honest opinion I don't think teddy is a grown up professional sounding name and I believe they would be taken less seriously as an adult.
@Kylie I see, thanks for confirming. To me it says more about the people judging someone for their name I guess 🤷🏻♀️
absolutely adore the name Teddy
