Is anyone on Clexane/Inhixa injections?

So I’m 21 weeks pregnant and I’ve got a confirmed blood clot on my lung. I’m now on 80mg of Inhixa (Clexane) injections, twice a day up until a while after baby is born! I’m a single mum, and I have been finding them excruciatingly painful. My left side is so much worse than my right! They’ve told me I’m not allow to inject my stomach or thighs, so it’s my hips only! I’ve been pinching the skin mega hard whilst I do it, and inject so slowly. I cry every time, and knowing I’m not even a week in yet just breaks me. The consultant touched upon possibly being induced. I’ve had 2 inductions before, and both were very complicated and not straight forward and I really did not want to go through one again! I’m now so anxious, stressed and worried and don’t have anyone to talk about. Could anyone enlighten me and just tell me their experiences or tips? If they’re not nice then do anyway as the unknown is what is making me so anxious! Thankyou and sorry for the long post x

I have no experience of this, but you got this mama! So sorry you’re going through this rough shit :(

I'm on these injections. I find doing it quickly is easier. Find a fleshy bit of skin and once needle is in just press the plunger fast otherwise it's sooo painful because it burns like crazy. My midwife suggested doing it this way and it's worked better for me

I would put an ice pack on the area for 5 min prior or a numbing cream I did this through my whole ivf cycles and I had to use these injections after being in hospital and they told me to do this x

Defo use ice to numb the area first and then if allowed use arnica for the bruises. x

Don’t pinch the flesh tightly. A light pinch is better. I had to do 10 days of these injections after my c-section. I would rest the meddle on the skin and push lightly. If it hurt I moved to a different spot. Once the needle passed through the skin it stopped hurting and then I would gently push it in. It’s horrible to do, but I found it a lot less painful doing it the way I described above.

I will try ice and less hard punching thankyou everyone!! Xx
