Planning a first birthday for a baby born in February…

Hello! I am for sure a planner and like to think ahead. My baby was born February 5th this year. He will be 4 months old tomorrow but I’m thinking about what I’ll do for his first birthday as we would like to accommodate 35-40 people. We don’t know anyone that has the space for that many people and nether do we. It’s tricky because it’s still in the winter. Any suggestions on where to have it? We really liked the idea of the butterfly conservatory however it would be almost $2000 (too much) our budget is around 450. We really need some fun ideas that we can do in the winter and have aprox 35 people :) all suggestions are welcome. If you have any themes that’s a bonus (ie. winter ONEderland)! Thanks so much in advance 💙💙💙

A lot of times restaurants will let you rent out a room for free if you order food from them, even buffet style. I had my baby shower with about 50 people at Boston Pizza, and it worked well because we didn’t have to pay for the space and they provided the pizzas, salads, and some apps with non alcoholic drinks for a pretty good price.

Local gymnastics club

Legion or a small hall of some sort

A nice restaurant or infant-friendly play place

I had my preemie baby girl on feb 5 :) winter is fun for birthdays. I would suggest a restaurant get together as you can bring your own cake there and have the discs for lots of guests

Oh girl, we are the same LOL been planning my daughters first birthday basically since she was born! Our theme is penguONE! All things winter and penguins. Just a house party with fun activities! And depending on weather we might go sledding like little penguins 😂
