I had my first one placed and it didn’t do a thing. I got another one and it worked. Once I hit 9cm I felt like I had to 💩 and it hurt sooooo bad! I don’t cry in front of people and I was bawling big tears. I was given two additional pain medications that did absolutely nothing. I was still numb in my vaginal region but it was nice to know when I needed to push. Every time I felt the butt pain I pushed until it went away, it helped take the mental pain away. But once the doctor said we can start pushing all the Pain went away
Hello, I had a similar experience. There was a large area near my left hip and I was so nauseous the whole time. Unfortunately, I hadn’t eaten for over 24 hours so I did pass out but everyone is safe. I hope you were able to have a good recovery.
Mine numbed parts but I ended up with ridiculously painful spasms in my back and thighs so I'd start pushing then theybwouod kick in and I was in agony
My epidural was great till it came time to push and it stopped working completely and I felt everything while pushing and waiting for the other baby to come down which took an hour and a half.
Yep one leg was numb and the other not 🙄 ended up with spinal block and forceps unfortunately in the end
Thank you to everyone who replied and shared their experience 😚 @Brittany I too did not eat close to 24 hours and kept telling them I was gonna pass out- I was seeing stars and no one really seemed to care! Was also extremely nauseous with each contribution. Just wondering if my epidurals wasn’t placed right or if they had the dosage extremely weak :/
Do you take drugs or drink alcohol and when they asked you, you said no? This could be a reason anaesthesia wouldn’t work…
@IoanaNope. No drugs or alcohol . My vagina was numb, just not my contractions
Yes mine basically didn’t work at all. No numbness to the vaginal area. Felt everything
