Early pregnancy w/ fibroids

Yes, fibroids can be associated with spotting. Just have your doctor monitor it. I've battled fibroids for many years. I'm 22 weeks with my current pregnancy, by the way, and all is going well.

@Jess Yes I have fibroids and had spotting in my pregnancy and went on to have a healthy baby.

Jess and Cristal how did you guys manage the spotting. I’m 5 weeks and been spotting. I have fibroids

@Maame Amma I only had one bleeding episode and went and got checked to be safe. That was at like 15 weeks, though. However, I have friends who have spotted with fibroids on and off. Mine are intramural, but luckily, with this pregnancy, they are staying within the uterine wall muscle. I'm praying they stay that way for 3 more months until I deliver. I would just follow up closely with your doctor. I'm sure all will be just fine. 🙏 I know it can be scary.

@Maame Amma I wore a panty liner and monitored if the bleeding worsened. I also connected with my OB who put me on "pelvic rest" because we realized the spotting happened after strenuous activity like sex, exercise, lifting too much. Once I slowed down, the spotting stopped. I'm almost 10 weeks now and haven't spotted since week 7.

I bled for the first 12 weeks - more than spotting and now have a healthy 15 month old
