https://peanut.app.link/omETCnwCoAb This is just my story on a failed induction. A positive story with the same outcome whether you Labour naturally or a section 💞 good luck 😊
@Elisabetta I have to have another gel and if that doesn't work, the dilapan rods. I don't think they can do the drip unless your waters are broken and they would do this on labour ward anyway which is full :(
I'm in the same boat as you, been here since weds had the pessary for 24hrs but no room for me on the labour ward, wasn't offered the gel as they said they could break my waters now but it's been ages since she made that conclusion and I feel like a sitting duck. I'm not the type of person to kick up a fuss but wish they'd sent me home Wednesday night so I didn't have to spend so long on this ward :( I hope you're not in for too much longer, fingers crossed !
@Katie it's good you're in a position that your waters can be broken though! I am worried I won't be able to get that far 😞 It is frustrating isn't it, but they have to be safe and it isn't their fault. Just the NHS under strain unfortunately:(
Sending love Xx
@Harriet people did warn me that it takes ages so I'm not surprised. But if I need a c section then it's fine, as long as she's here and we are safe! X
Can I ask, just where you girls are having to wait so long can you just ask to go home and come back when there is some availability? I’m getting induced on Sunday so just wondering if you can leave or not.
@kelly at my hospital once they start the induction process you can't go home as you have to be monitored frequently to make sure baby hasn't gone into distress. But it's different for every hospital I think x
@kelly I'm at East surrey hospital, I'm not allowed to leave because of babies weight but another lady opposite me has gone home so maybe depends on your circumstances x
Aw thanks for that girls! I hope everything goes a bit quicker for you and you have your babies in your arms soon. Good luck 💕
@Bethany with my first I was 3cm dilated when they put me on pitocin. They ruptured my membranes later on to help things progress. But you’re right in that it’ll be done on a labour ward. It’s hard to tell how someone will respond to pitocin - from the time it was administered for me my LO was out in just under 4hrs 😳
Why are they not considering the oxytocin drip? Or is this because they are so packed and have no room available yet?
