Haakaa at the hospital

I was told to bring my haakaa with me to the hospital but not my pump. My question is if milk gets into the haakaa what do I do with it if that makes any sense? Bring a bottle to put it in?

Take breast milk storage bags

Day 1-2 you’ll likely just be making colostrum. That’s usually stored in syringes. On day 3 milk typically comes in. I was in hospital for 7 days postpartum so I was pumping from day 3 & feeding my baby with bottles. But if you’re planning to store it, most people use milk storage bags. I think the argument for the hakaa is to encourage milk production? So you might not be collecting much? I’m in the UK, so the hospital provided a breast pump, bottles, bottle nipples, colostrum syringes. But even then it was easy for my husband to bring all the milk pumping kit from home on day 3/4.
