Baby #2

I am pregnant with baby #2 right now! Due Jan 2024!

29 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 actually! Due early September :) ... I don't think there's ever a time where you'll feel 100% ready haha but that's just my opinion!

We figured we’d start trying for the next one in January. Give us some time to enjoy our full night sleep again but not enough time to actually get used to it 😂😂

Still not 100% sure we want another one. 😅 If so, we’ll probably start trying at the end of this year. We had always wanted 2 years apart but that’s a hard no now. 🥲

Hard no for me. We might be one and done but are considering a larger age gap of 4-5 years. Having 2 close in age just doesn’t look enjoyable😩

@Julia there’s a 9 year age gap between my first and second and it’s been amazing.

@Nicole my biggest hope, and probably unrealistic expectation, is to have a potty trained toddler before the next baby. 😂

@Nicole it's hard with a toddler, not going to lie. With my first I didn't have morning sickness, with my second I was throwing up until 23 weeks or so. He's in daycare and with the viruses, the first and second trimester were incredibly challenging. We'll see how everything goes come September. I have a lot of support from my husband and mother-in-law which I'm incredibly thankful for!

I guess it also depends on your support system, I don’t think my partner realized how much work having a baby was, it’s inexcusable but I was left carrying the heavy load. He still talks about having another baby, but I also have to think about how am I going to be able to handle two. I feel like if you have a good support system and you’re mentally and physically prepared start trying whenever it feels right!

I'm not having another child but I already have three but my spacing was 18months between my first two (born 18m apart) and my daughter was born 7 days shy of 2 years apart with my middle. You do what you feel is right.
