Aspirin and Gaviscon

I’ve read somewhere that if you’re taking baby aspirin in your pregnancy you can’t have Gaviscon? Has anyone else heard this? Or if you are taking aspirin how are you also dealing with the heartburn 😩. Any advice would be great!

The pharmacist told me it’s absolutely fine. Take your aspirin 2 hours before or after your Gaviscon to avoid the Gaviscon blocking absorption of the aspirin. They gave me dissolvable aspirin which absorbs into the body much quicker so I can take Gaviscon about 30 mins after rather than having to wait 2 hours.

Brill- thanks for this. Mine is also dissolvable so will just make sure they’re taken apart :) x

I’m on aspirin. Omeprazole is the only thing that worked for me in my last pregnancy and I checked with the GP when it was prescribed and it doesn’t inhibit the effects of the aspirin
