#SOS Run out of prescription formula 🚨🆘

My LO is on Aptamil Pepti 1 for CMPA and I re-ordered his prescription on Tuesday for Friday. The pharmacy phoned and said there’d been a delay and his formula hadn’t come in but will be there by Monday. I thought I’d have enough as we had just under half a tin. Little man began cluster feeding however yesterday (presumably because of the heat) and I know I have like two bottles MAXIMUM left in this tin 😩 I can’t give him the breastmilk I have in the freezer as he reacted to this in the early days and I am also wary of going to buy a generic lactose free milk in case he reacts to that as his reactions are pretty severe. I don’t want to make him poorly but no chemist will sell me the formula (I’ve tried phoning and asking) and I can’t get through to gp to get an emergency prescription. Any ideas or anyone got the same formula that doesn’t use it anymore?! I’m at such a loss and I feel so guilty 😭

Call 111? They may be able to get you an emergency prescription? X

Yeah, call 111 explain the situation, if I am trying to chase up prescription urgently I will call pharmacy before 111 to ensure they have what you need...makes everything quicker

111 for emergency prescription and then find a pharmacy who has it, I’ve done it before

Also post on your local spotted groups, someone may have a spare tin they don’t need anymore of the prescription formula, I’ve seen it a few times

I have some hat mine my little boy isn’t going to drink it has he on lactose free milk I have 3 big tubs 800g

Thank you everyone!! 111 provided an emergency prescription, although no pharmacy within 20 miles had any stock. Luckily, a friend of my sisters had just upped her son onto Pepti 2 and so had a spare small 400g tin that I collected🤞🏻 thank you all for your help & advice xx
