I had an AP and had severe lower back pain. If you have someone, get them to massage it as often as they are willing to. Try to stretch it out leaning in all directions and pay attention to how you are positioning your spine when standing. Not sure if placenta placement and back pain is related but baby does have better access to kicking your insides without the placenta there to cushion it.
A heating bad helps too
Yeah! I have scoliosis and an anterior placenta too and have been wondering if thatās why my pelvis and hips have been so sore for most of the pregnancy! I swear I hit 20 weeks and itās been a struggle ever since š finally caved and got myself a proper wrap around belly band last fortnight and it actually helps sooo much to have some of that bump weight supported! (P.s Iām 38 weeks and 3 days) š
An anterior placenta wouldn't cause pain like that, pregnancy in general would. All your ligaments and muscles relax, joints move more freely and can create some issues that were already prevalent to become worse. Belly bands can really help. Offers lots of support.
I had terrible lower back pain. A prenatal massage helped, so someone who really understands a pregnant body and how to target different areas due to that

31+5 with an AP. Few old injuries from my old job being an ice skater and really struggling with my lower back⦠I sort of put it down to even more weight at the front throwing out centre of gravity off more. Xx
