Gerber Baby food linked to Autism!

Hi! So I just heard about a lawsuit for autism cases, being linked to baby food such as Gerber and Beechnut due to the high levels of metals and toxins. Does anyone recommend another brand or any tips on going the purée route? My son is 7 months and all I have is Gerber and Beechnut baby food.

Isn’t autism genetic tho

Most of the baby foods I have are two ingredients only and the only preservative is lemon juice. Try the parents choice!

Those don’t have absorbic acid or any of that other crap in them ❤️

I do all the purée By myself it really takes no longer than 15 mins to make multiple portions.I have beeba baby food processor. I would do everyday different vegetable in it and freeze all in mono portions. Or you could do all the meal prep in one afternoon and after you just put these in a microwave and it’s good to go

@Mara do you do any purée meats?

@Anesha yes, I do chicken and she loves it. Planning to do beef but that I might do in the slow cooker.

They have found metals and other stuff in almost all baby food brands. I don’t know about autism but it’s not good anyways. Also for now I’m SAHM so no excuse not to do it at home

@Taylor no. The cause of autism isn’t exactly figured out but it seems both genetic predisposition and environmental factors such as diet can contribute to an autism diagnosis.

If you can’t make purée yourself, look for the clean label project purity award. Here’s some examples: Serenity Kids, Once Upon a Farm, Cerebelly, Hello Yumi, Tiny Organics, Little Spoon

Thats not how autism works

Also you can still use conventional brands such as Gerber and Beechnut and choose certain foods as opposed to others that are likely to be higher in heavy metals. Here’s a great article that will tell you what to select and what to avoid: https://www.healthybabyfood.org/sites/healthybabyfoods.org/files/2020-04/BabyFoodReport_ENGLISH_R6.pdf I would also recommend a daily probiotic. Probiotics help with heavy metal detoxification.

I heard aldi has good baby food. I'd just make it at home honestly. You'll know what your baby is eating and it's cheaper.

I make mine all at home from fruits to meats. Its also very cost effective and much healthier for the babies since it isn't processed and have so many unnecessary ingredients that babies don't need

And putting bentonite clay in baby’s bath 👏🏼pulls out toxins

Best thing you can do is make it at home. Look up foods that have the highest contamination like cantaloupe and rice. Avocados have the lowest levels of heavy metal contamination.
