MMC & D&C

I had a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks 5ish days. I had a dr appt at 7 weeks, and there was no heartbeat and growth had stopped a day or two before. I have been absolutely heart broken and devastated is an understatement, but I had a D&C the next day as I was afraid of the trauma it would bring me to see it happen naturally. I had the D&C 10 days ago now and I just took my first pregnancy test and I still have a line stealer. My HCG got pretty high, it was almost 27,000 by 5 weeks 6 days (the last time it was checked). But still, how long do you think it should take to see it back down to 0? Seeing a positive pregnancy test, the thing that once brought me so much joy, but knowing I’m not pregnant is so painful. 😔🙏🏻

my miscarriage happened in march naturally but my tests stayed positive for about a month, just slowly getting lighter

Mine took over a week after my miscarriage bleeding stopped (and I had 10 days of miscarriage) to get even a lighter 2nd line...it can take weeks....it truly stinks.

It really does… the thing that hurts the most is how long I wanted to see this positive test and now it’s like it’s haunting me. 😔 thank you both for sharing, maybe I’ll wait another 10 days or so before putting myself through this again.

I didn’t have a D&C after my MMC but the tablets. I was advised to wait 3 weeks before taking a test. So I would give it some more time then retest. It’s horrible to go through so sending lots of hugs

Oh okay, I’ll wait another 10+ days before I test again. Thank you so much ❤️

I tested at 2.5 weeks after miscarriage and was negative. It’s heartbreaking to see that line but know it’s ended, I totally get it. I’m so sorry

I’m so sorry. It took 4 weeks for my HCG to go down. I can’t believe some doctors make you do this. My doctor had me get blood tests once per week to check HCG level and said we were waiting for it to go below 5. I can’t imagine the heartbreak of seeing the tests - both positive and negative.
