Dizziness

I’ve been suffering with dizziness for 11 days the first nine it was every now and again, but the last three days it’s been unbearable to the point I had to have a day off work because it happened when I was driving, I felt I was going to pass out, contacted doctor’s have to wait a week for a blood test to be done but today so much dizziness that I took myself to the walk-in hospital who were very thorough and apart from a little bit of high blood pressure and a tiny bit of blood in my urine could find nothing wrong, so I asked if it could be menopausal and she said it could well be as I have a couple other symptoms of insomnia and brain fog so I’m gonna wait till next week for my next blood test and hopefully they can check to see if I’m perimenopausal as I cannot think for the life of me why I’m getting so dizzy for no apparent reason. Anyone else suffer with bad dizziness

Have you been checked for labyrinthitus?

The doctor looked in my ears and took my temperature and ruled out vertigo, she was quite thorough I have my blood pressure done four times while lying down and standing up. Also had an ECG and covid test. I literally feel fine in myself apart from when I have dizziness and I feel like I’m gonna pass out which today that’s happened about 10 times, it happens when I’m still in bed, watching TV and not moving

Yes, I've had it for the last 3 years. Have had every test going. I've been on oestrogel and progesterone pills for the last month, slightly better. Do you feel anxious when it happens? I take propranolol for the anxiety I get with it. Hope you feel better soon. You are not alone ❤️

I don’t feel anxious, but when it happens, it’s very scary, I was on anxiety tablets a few years back but had been on depression tablets after my sister died for 12 years but I started weaning myself off it in January and off it completely in May, the only tablet I take is desogestrel contraception tablet, which I haven’t had a period with them in years and years

I have had vertigo on and off for a number of years but for the past 3 weeks I’ve been suffering with feeling incredibly dizzy and spaced out. I have no idea what’s going on either but I don’t like it one bit as I can’t do much at all. This feels different to my usual vertigo dizziness. I’ve been on desogestrel for the past 4 years due to the heavy periods I was getting and haven’t had a period since, and have been told I’m going through the menopause. I really do need to take myself back to the doctors but it’s so hard to get seen by one these days.

I have booked my eye test and ears to be checked - booked an appointment with the doctor

The doctor at the hospital, checked my vision and checked inside my ears and said everything was fine, today is day 12 and I’ve probably had less than half the episodes I ever had the last three days so definitely an improvement, having another blood test on Thursday so hopefully that will show more

It seems like we all have this in common
