Normal? Crying when take bottle away to burp?

I’m going to a baby group today and I’m a bit nervous as my baby really cries when I take the bottle away, roughly after each ounce to try to get a burp from her, is this normal? I’m worried people will think I’m doing it wrong or my baby is unhappy?! She can scream till I give it back!! 🙈

Same with my baby. May be we need to wait until they are half full. May I know what's baby group?

It’s run by my local children’s centre, it’s just an opportunity for mums to get out with their babies, this one is baby play and my baby is 7 weeks so a bit young to get too involved yet but as she gets older she will interact more with the toys and babies, there’s others like baby massage

Good to know. Thank you.

My baby does this now too, it’s all ok until she burps but as soon as she does she screams blue murder until you give her the bottle back. It actually makes me happy as we had lots of trouble with reflux and she used to scream and push the bottle away and not eat, so I feel like crying for the bottle is much more normal! I wouldn’t worry at all what people will think regardless but a baby crying to get its bottle back is totally normal, as is taking breaks to burp!

Thanks everyone!! X

Don’t worry about other people. They might have some good advice but don’t worry about being judged. Maybe let her eat more than an ounce before burping and see what happens. My little boy is the same if he hasn’t had enough milk, it’s like he thinks I’m not giving him more 🤣
