I bled on and off throughout my pregnancy. Went to triage a few times was assured that the bleeding was normal and nothing to be worried about. The last time I went they admitted me and my baby was born after spontaneous labour at 26+6. It was traumatic because it wasn't expected but baby was admitted straight to neonatal unit and spent 73 days in there. I guess with you if they do a c section they can prepare for that and give u steroids and magnesium to help baby before they take them out (I didn't have this luxury) which give a better chance of less complications. On our unit there were a few babies born at similar gestations to you x x

I had my LG at 31+5 via emergency section. She was perfect, didn't require oxygen, just a little bit of air to make sure her lungs were opening. We had a 6 week stay in the nicu just to get her to put on weight & learn how to suck. Try to stay calm. They can do so much now & sometimes it's safer for the baby to be out and get specialist care. Hope everything goes ok x

Like chloe said they can give you steriods to help with the babies lungs. I got these a few days before I had her as I was at risk of having her early.

Had our LG at 32 weeks, didn't need a ventilator. Had all the steroids etc, she's now 1 and smashing life. NICU stay was just under 4 weeks. It's scary and not ideal but these NICU babies are tough. Wishing you all the best.

Hi I had a lot of bleeding from 2nd trimester onwards (probably about 10 times in total) with a couple of big bleeds that took me to the delivery suite and transferred for a cot at 26 weeks. They gave steroids and magnesium in case baby arrived early. But baby was always fine every time and they never found a cause. We made it to 36 weeks when my waters broke and labour started. At 7cm my placenta came away so had a c section. Have they found a cause of the bleed? Why do they want to do a c section? Has a neonatal Dr spoke to you? At the time I was in they said to me they would get me 30 weeks and then if they were worried would deliver as the baby’s outcomes are better then. Sending love, I know how worrying it can be xx

I had on and off bleeding too, but around 30w I had such a heavy bleed I felt faintish and filled atleast 5pads within a few minutes. Went to the hospital and everything was fine, bleeding slowed over a few days. So they sent me back home again. Went into spontaneous labour at 32w4d and because she was breech we had a cesearean. We spent some time in the nicu but she's a happy and healthy 17month old now 💜

I bled my entire first pregnancy due to a placental problem and delivered at 26 weeks. Had 2 steroid shots and 2 rounds of the 24 hour magnesium drip because i was inaptient a week before he was born. He's now a healthy 20 month old. It'll he okay, medicine has come such a long way!

@Gemma and honestly when the pregnancy has complications, having them out and being able to see the doctors help them is such a relief vs having to blindly worry about what's happening inside.

Thanks ladies really appreciate every comment 💙 baby's all gud thank god 🙏 an his not coming just yet lol. Goin home today to rest yayy lol xxxx

I had bleeding from 25 weeks of pregnancy, and at 30 weeks was admitted as an inpatient due to the number of admissions for bleeding! None of bleeds were severe enough to take me in for a c-section but I was given steroids just encase! After 3 weeks on being an inpatient, I started to bleed and have contractions so was taken in for emergency c-section - my little boy was born at 33 weeks! He is perfect, spent 19 days in NICU but didn’t require any air, just a little gas to keep his lungs open! If you are worried ask midwife to speak to NICU team and ask them any questions you have, even ask for a visit to NICU area - this massively helped me! I was able to meet the team who would look after my baby and they answered all my questions and put my mind at ease!
