As Rebecca said above sometimes you have to let them whine. I know it’s awful to hear, but you have to be able to meet your basic needs. You can’t look after baby if you’re not well because you haven’t been eating and drinking. Have you tried giving them random things to play with? A plastic kitchen utensil maybe while you cook? Do they have a favourite toy - ones that light up or make noise? I feel for you, my girl is clingy and whingey too. It is hard, hopefully they grow out of it
I have tried everything. She has lots of toys and jumperoo and walker but she only plays with anything for a few mins then whines again. The only thing that keeps her from whining is if I am holding her and waking around which then stops me being able to do anything. Her whine turns into a full on cry in no time so I don’t like leaving her as it stresses me out even more. I’m sure it will get better I was having a particularly bad day yesterday. Hopefully it gets better x
If my baby is just whining I let him because sometimes I just have to go to the toilet on my own or wash something and he just needs to wait in his play pen whilst I do it. I eat when he eats, If it's something I need to prepare slightly for breakfast and lunch then I pop him in his high chair with a spinny toy and chat to him. I hope you can find a moment to yourself because it's draining being attached
