Stretch marks

I guess this is more of a warning than anything. I have gone my whole pregnancy without stretch marks and I’ve been doing all the things to try and avoid them. This weekend my kitten got out and I did TONS of walking to find her. The walking caused my little one to drop. I noticed how low he was mid Sunday and today I have stretch marks. It was a big shock I thought I wouldn’t get them bc I haven’t had any and I’m just trying to not beat myself up because this is so natural and I’m literally an incubator for my little love but it just came as a shock. There was nothing there and now there’s plenty of little ones all real low.

@Jennifer what can telling her doctor about the stretch marks do? They are normal during pregnancy.

I’m sure once you have your baby. They will go down or fade to where they aren’t noticeable hun.

Same. Nothing to see until last week. Right where my waistbands go 😭 I hope you found ur kitten :(

@259Giselle yes same! I guess I should’ve included that she did come home thank goodness! I was a sobbing mess that whole 12 hrs of her being gone 😂

You should still moisturize daily, even if you don't see any.

I started getting them around 25 weeks and I like them. I always forget to moisturize but I have them everywhere. I have them on my thighs/bikini line, hips, belly and arms

This happened to me (lost cat) when I was like 20 weeks pregnant! Absolutely heart breaking! He came home too.. SOO happy she made it back to you 🩷🩷

@Zoe I don’t think there’s a problem with them at all. My issue is I’ve always had self image issues due to a family member making constant comments about my body so this was just hard for me.

Completely understand how you feel. I’ve started to see a few on my sides. So I have now been wearing my belly band constantly so there isn’t so much strain on my skin unsupported. It has helped the stretch marks from getting worse so far. Also, try adding a hyaluronic acid serum to your refining. Greatly increased my moisture barrier and is safe for pregnancy

@Jenelle I’m definitely not invalidating how you feel! I also have body image/self esteem issues, especially from being in the military. I thought I’d struggle with stretch marks but I’ve been okay. I’ve definitely struggled with the weight gain tho. However you feel is valid!
