Am I being over paranoid

Last night after work I went into triage because of reduced movements I’m coming up to 26 weeks they used a Doppler and got her heart beat and sent me on my way I’ve woke up this morning and I’m stressing even more because I’ve still felt nothing! She is normally squirming about constantly even with my anterior placenta I feel her all the time. I’ve tried everything that normally works to get her moving and nothing and I don’t know what to do I don’t know if to ring up again and see if they will see me again

If your still concerned and worried I would ring up again and ask for a scan this time, that’s what they are there for if you don’t get the reassurance you need your only going to keep stressing so I would be going back ❤️ I’m sure she is fine they like to just keep us on our toes 🥰

Ring them! If it doesn’t feel right make a fuss until you feel satisfied. Not worth the risk x

This was me yesterday but I was told that 25 weeks they move up and with a mixture of where the placenta is she’s very much cushioned in 🙈. I did get told that if I was still worried in a week to call mau and they would arrange a scan to if anything put my mind at ease as stress isn’t any good for yourself or baby. So definitely if you still have concerns give them a call ever if you are ‘overthinking’ it’s better to be safe that too late xxx

I am 22 weeks and also have some days where i can’t feel much, especially this last week where I’ve been so bloated. I was considering buying an at home Doppler or fetal stethoscope from Amazon so that I could heart my LO heartbeat at home. Has anyone done this?

@Ellen I bought one last week and it works well. I’m 21 weeks

I’m 25 weeks tomorrow and I’ve been noticing some days I won’t really feel anything then next day he’ll be very active! I don’t know how normal this is tbh? but the fact he’s moves after these quiet periods makes me feel he’s just in hidden positions x

I’m the same @Kareena some days she’s going crazy in there and others not so much

You should never ever feel as if your being paranoid, if you’re still worried 100% ring them xx

If your still concerned go back but it will be your placenta , mine was like this last time and this time but not my first. It’s soo annoying cus you get a pattern and then nothing again. Before calling I always go for a walk jiggle about, drink a cold glass of water then sit down and see if I feel them move , if not call xxx

Absolutely don't buy a home doppler! Your maternity unit will never mind you contacting them if you have concerns, no matter how often!

I did get told that girls are known for hiding 🙈 xx

Ring up again! Hope you’re ok and keep us posted ❤️❤️

@India this is what I don’t get about my hospital because I’ve been told this also but that is all they will do is listen to the heart beat on Doppler so as soon as I left the hospital yesterday I went straight to a private scan place xxx

@Megan It's because they can't get an accurate CTG (strap on baby monitor) reading until very minimum 26weeks ( later in some hospitals) so they only have the doppler. Midwives are trained to know the difference between mum/placenta and baby, where as someone at home could be falsely reassured by what they think is baby's heartbeat when actually their baby isn't OK. Xx
