And just to add, I had a very positive birth. The midwives and hospital personnel were so supportive and we had a plan from the very beginning so I know exactly what would happen at every stage. Best of luck 😁
I had to have an induction which I was hoping to avoid as well. Its not pleasant but just remind yourself you’re in good hands at the hospital and no matter what you need to do in order to get your baby into the world safely is ok, birth plans tend to go out of the window in situations like this, risk of infections etc. I was also very scared but try to stay calm and talk to your midwives/doctors they made me feel much better. Its soooo common and just think you’re so close to meeting your little one!good luck
My waters broke on both my daughters, first I went into natural labour the second I was induced. The only difference between the two wax that I was waiting a bit longer for baby no2. Honestly both were fine l! ( I did not have an epidural or pain relief on either) all will be fine- your mid wife will guide you x
Thanks everyone for all your comments!! I was in a really dark place posting this. I ended up getting induced - being on oxytocin for 5 hours. Thought I was coping well with the contractions but when I was checked I still wasn’t in labour. Ended up getting an epidural but my baby’s blood pressure was going down so they had to do an emergency c section. Was initially very disappointed with how my whole body reacted in the final stages of my pregnancy but I’m so grateful to have our little boy delivered healthy and one week before his due date on 27th September!
Your outcome was the same as mine! I was induced and it failed and ended up with an emergency c section! I’m so happy all was ok with the birth of your baby boy! Congratulations! ♥️
My waters went at 5.15am, I went into the hospital to confirm as it was my first baby. They said I could go home until labour started but when i went in my blood pressure was high so I was advised to stay. I then bounced on the ball and walked and went up and down the stairs in the hospital to start labour. Labour started and I didnt need an induction. I recieved IV antibiotics 18 hours after my waters broke and the plan was every 6 hours after that until baby was born.
