I have literally felt 2 kicks that’s it! This is my first baby so I didn’t know what is classed as normal movements with an anterior placenta! I’ll give my midwife a phone call and ask for some advice! Thank you babs x
Very normal...its so tricky as you won't feel all of the movements and may be difficult for you to establish a definite routine- even later in the pregnancy. If you're ever not sure just pop down to maternity triage to be checked out and get that reassurance. X
I didn’t feel anything until 23+4 and it was like little pops. It’s always worth a check but I’m pretty sure they don’t say you’ll feel regular movements until about 24weeks x
I can’t remember when I started feeling proper kicks regularly, but I had an anterior placenta first pregnancy and for a while it kind of just felt a bit like butterflies/bubbles popping. My stomach used to move like mad as the pregnancy progressed. If you have any concerns go to your PAU. I went one day feeling tons of strong kicks to the next feeling nothing near as intense - I went in to be monitored and turns out baby had just moved position but it’s better to be safe if you’re concerned than sorry!
It’s such a nerve wracking feeling 😣 I had an anterior placenta and remember feeling lots of anxiety around not feeling kicks when I was “supposed to”. By 25ish weeks and on, however, I was feeling kicks nonstop! Every body is different and it’s easy to worry❤️.
I have anterior and i didnt feel anything at all until 24 weeks. I am now 32 and he is literally kicking all day! Xx
I didn’t feel kicks until I was 28 weeks, and even then it was like light taps. I ended up going in for NST’s twice a week because I’d hardly make it to 10 kick counts a day. Hang in there mama!
I had anterior placenta I never felt much movement throughout my full pregnancy even towards the end I was lucky to feel a flutter a day.
Thank you all so much for your advice ladies! It’s certainly our my mind at ease! I think if I haven’t got an established moving routine of some form by 24 weeks I’ll get in touch with my midwife! Thank you all again💕
Yes normal. I'm 20 weeks today with anterior placenta and I've only felt the odd flutter since 17weeks. I've been told I may not feel much till I'm further gone or bigger and even then, it may not be consistent. Oh and will prob be more on the sides or low down x
I had anterior and I started feeling flutters around 14-16 weeks but proper movement 24 weeks onwards
I'd talk to our medical team if you're concerned but I had an anterior placenta and didn't consistently feel movement until 23 weeks.
