Elective c section

Hi I'm having the same problem but in Birmingham. I was booked for the 17th at 39 weeks but it got bought forward due to GD at 38 weeks which is next week.. I haven't had my new date either. I talked to my community midwife and she spoke to the midwife at the hospital who was arranging the dates, and she said she would contact me directly when she had sorted the new theatre list they were working on. Maybe talk to your community midwife or call up the hospital and explain x

Mine was provisionally scheduled on the 23rd october (39+1) but same....as i got Gestational diabetes doctor will confirm the day after a grown scan on the 9th.

I’ve had a issues with my date next week due to the doctor strikes They are having to reschedule everything so maybe the same in your area too

Thank you ladies, I’m going to ask my midwife on Tuesday on my last appointment to see if she can chase it! Just would like to know as I have a 3 year old to sort out 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Nicky totally sympathise, I've got a 3yo and 20month old and I'll be going it alone if it's too short notice. Maybe txt her and explain your concerns so you know you've put it out there and don't spend the weekend worrying about it x

@Nicky if it’s already been signed off by your doctor you may be able to ring up the labour ward to find out your date from the team there, especially as you need to sort childcare. If it’s not yet been signed off only the doctor can book it in apparently x

@Nicky oh bless you, that’s awful!! I’m in a similar predicament myself but I’ve been trying to see my consultant to get signed off and keep getting cancelled sessions so waiting on that part 🤦🏼‍♀️ it was my community midwife team that suggested calling the labour ward too book in so hopefully as you’ve had sign off you’ll have some luck 🤞🏻

@Chloe I know it’s all just so frustrating not knowing! Sorry to hear your sessions keep getting cancelled that’s so annoying! I’m going to leave it and speak to my midwife Tuesday and see how I get on if not I’ll be ringing the labour ward as I wanted this labour to be less stressful than my last! Hope you get yours sorted hun x
