Loud blender during pregnancy

Im 25 weeks pregnant and I work at a smoothie bar and there’s blenders going all day. I’m worried it might affect my baby’s hearing. My doctor said he’s not worried but I feel like it’s hurting her ears. It’s not for a short amount of time it’s my whole 5-6 hour shift. Any thoughts?

Hi, I worked in a loud environment too and was worried. So I tried to avoid noisy area as much as possible. There’s not enough research about if it can really affect the baby unfortunately. But my boy is 5 months now and his hearing is absolutely fine so far. But I did notice he reacted in my belly when something was really loud at work. Where I worked was much more high noise than blender. But I understand your feelings as it stressed me out a lot too. Any way you can maybe work just at the register instead being near the blender all day?

While the baby can hear and will probably react to the noise, everything in your belly is super muffled so it really shouldn’t be an issue!!

I had something similar happening. I was at the sound bath and when they played gong which is pretty loud my baby was jumping or moving a lot inside of me. I think he didn’t like it so I’m thinking not to do that anymore as well. Was worried for him.

You should be fine. I'm a dental assistant so all day my baby would've been hearing drills for 8 hours 5 days a week. Your womb is pretty insulated so it won't ruin their ears. My babe has perfect hearing and goes for checkups every year cause I have a couple cousins in the family who were born deaf so I understand your concern.

I work at a vets office.. barking dogs all day long while working 12 hour shifts. My son was absolutely fine, his hearing is great and I honestly feel like it helped him sleep better when he was born because he was used to extra noise. Remember they hear your heartbeat and blood rushing through your body all day long. It’s not silent in the womb

I worked with machinery full time until 39 weeks. Baby will be ok 👌

Baby is in a protective cocoon of fluid, plus surrounded by your body. And your body is making a lot of noise. Baby is not hearing much from the outside world.

Thank you guys for all the comments! Like it’s super loud and it’s going all day. So I just get worried. I know it’s super muffled but ugh I just get worried🥺
