Is it safe to boil water and store in bottles and just add formula later?

Hey guys. I just started my baby on a HA formula, Aptamil Allerpro. The tin says to boil water and let it cool to room temperature. However, I’m wondering if it’s safe to boil water and fill 2-3 bottles at a time and just add the formula later? This would make the night feedings so much easier as it takes a long time to boil water for every single feed and baby screaming at me. Please share your thoughts x

I always do that with no issues

My SIL boils water and stores it in a boiling water safe drink bottle and uses that at night as it’s cooled down by then

Yes I do this I fill with about 60% cold water and store multiple bottles in the fridge and then fill the rest up with boiling water and add formula, it’s much quicker and easier

@Nourhan🇵🇸🇵🇸 Thanks so much! Do you keep the pre-filled bottles outside or does it have to be stored in the fridge? :)

@Abby Thanks! x

We do this

I find it easier in the fridge as it cools down the boiled water much quicker and I know the exact amount of cold and hot water for my bubs bottles

@Rachel That’s a great idea. I’m just wondering if filling the bottles with boiled water and leaving them at room temperature for 6-10 hours is still okay? 😊

I keep it outside. Sometime, I actually prepare the bottle with the formula and i leave it in the fridge. My daughter doesn't mind drinking it cold since the weather is very hot now🤣

I do the same and then store the boiled water in an insulated bottle where it stays lukewarm for few hours

Boiled water can stay in the fridge for 3 days and 24 hours at room temp

Yep we do this with our bottles when they come out of the steriliser and just seal them up and add formula later when needed

Yep! We wash and fill all our bottles every evening and let them cool overnight ready for the next day. Our bub just has it at room temp 😊

Perfectly fine I have done that

Yep. My bub has 5 bottles a day so after we put her to bed we fill 5 bottles with boiling water and put them in the fridge. My baby is fussy and won’t drink it fridge cold so I pre boil the kettle about half an hour before she eats and 10 minutes before I get the bottle out of the fridge and put it in a Tupperware container and just pour the hot/boiled water around the bottle for 3 minutes. I also find formula doesn’t mix as well in fridge cold so this makes the mixture smoother.

I used to have a thermos.. for night time and when traveling. Fill up before bed or before leaving the house and then instant hot water for 6hours minimum. I would mix the hot water with room temperature bottled water and shake then he would have it straight away.

Yep I always do it
