What would you do?

So today my husband and I get home and baby is being fussy. She’s combo fed. He starts preparing a bottle and I see him with his whole finger in the formula container looking for the scoop. He had just pumped gas before we got home and did not wash his hands, so now I want to throw the container out. Am I being unreasonable? He’s a bit upset that I’m trying to micro manage while he’s trying to be helpful. 😞 But I also know formula can be contaminated with bacteria and I feel it’s not worth the risk. Am I wrong?

I would throw out the top 3-4 inches where his finger touched it just to be sure. Ask him if he thinks you guys should throw it out just so he would make the decision and throw it himself. It is okay we all sometime make these mistakes. I threw out many bottles because i forgot how many scoops are in there.

Yikes! Yeah I’d definitely throw it out! Gas pumps are the dirtiest things you can touch! Imagine how many different people touch those pumps-think of all the germs I don’t think it’s micro managing at all, just common sense But I’m sure he wasn’t thinking about it and was just trying to help a stressful situation-no need for anyone to get upset.
