Am I feeding him too much?

Hi. This is purely a worry from reading another post but my baby boy is 1 month old today and he has at least 7/8 bottles a day and drinks anywhere between 3-5oz. Sometimes he’ll only have 1oz, usually on his midnight feed, but is this normal? I don’t want to be over feeding him.

I didn’t breastfeed do idk if your are or not but honestly do what’s best for your kid. If your son/daughter is on a 3-4 hour feeding schedule then you’re ok. I kept my son that 3 hour feeding for a month and a half then I let him wake himself up. I’m not saying do what I did but don’t let anyone make any decisions about what you do for your newborn let them decide lol

It’s actually quite hard to overfeed a baby! At a month old baby will be eating what he wants and needs. I remember my boy drinking pretty much exactly like that too! We now have a very happy thriving chunky baby😍 He’s 6 months on 8/9 ounces 4 times a day x

My baby seems to drink so so much, she’s 3 months and sometimes drinks 9oz every 3 hours. She was drinking up to 6oz the first few weeks 8 times a day and some weeks would only take 3oz. She’s absolutely tiny still. I wouldn’t worry about overfeeding at all, they will stop drinking when they’ve had enough x

Babies will eat what they need! We always feed on demand or if it’s been awhile like 2-4 hours then I always offer except during the night. During the night I will feed when she asks for it.
