Why not? That’s a pretty good skill she’s learnt so young already! I’ve not even attempted a straw with my boy yet 😂 as Rachel said it’ll make it easier in the long run anyway. As long as she’s still drinking I wouldn’t be concerned where it’s coming from at all? She also looks so cute sat there with it 🥰

Random - same thing here today! I’ve been so stressed but eventually put the milk in his Tum Tum cup and he drank it all.

@Rachel I thought this but more concerned about trapped wind etc with it not being a proper bottle

@Amy I got her used to the straw from the get go really just figured it would be better in the long run ofcourse I'm so happy she took the milk in the end but with them not recommending weaning from bottles until 12 months I'm a bit panicky incase it will cause issues with wind etc as she still needs to be burped majority of the time 😭

@Amy honestly he just did it? He has been useless at weaning and most days refuses all his food. Yet he was able to drink from a straw and hold his own cup with straw from 6 months 🤷‍♀️ Who the hell knows why sometimes they are brilliant at some things and a little rubbish at others 😂

@Amy it's OK 🤣 so I have a big Stanley cup that I fill with filtered water every morning and she was always trying to grab at the straw so you know when you put your finger over the straw and the water won't come out? I was getting a little bit of water in the straw and putting the straw in her mouth and after a few days she started sucking the water out of it so I bought her just a random cup and straw (in the video) was £2 I think and she's been drinking her water from it since 6 months, prefers it over the sippy cup

Go little one! As long as it’s being sterilised I don’t see the issue. Clever little girl x
