Anti reflux formula prep question

Hi I need to transition my baby from aptamil comfort to hipp anti reflux formula. The hipp box says I need to boil the kettle, leave for 45 minutes and then make the bottle, then wait 7 minutes for it to thicken. This seems crazy to have to make a bottle nearly an hour in advance. Does anyone else use the hipp anti reflux formula? How do you make it?

I use aptamil anti reflux so it may or may not work for you but I put the kettle water after 45 mins into a flask and use throughout the day, when I need a quick bottle, I use the flask to make it, leave for a short while to thicken and then run it under cold water tap for a couple mins, shouldn't take longer than 10 to 15 mins. So you're supposed to boil 1l of water and allow to sit for 45 mins. 1l should see you through a day easily. I do one set in the morning and one set before bed. Just to ensure she gets fresh water and not lukewarm.

Again, 1l is the guidance on the aptamil box so hipp may be different

@Ayesha thank you! Do you check the temp of the water throughout the day to make sure it’s above 70?

I use the nuby rapid cools and leave it for 7 minutes to thicken xx

@kayleigh nope, I've never had an issue either with both kids, the flask leaves it nice and hot, that's why I do it twice a day so that it's hot for both day and night x

@chloe Thankyou we’ve ordered the nuby rapid cool 😊

@kayleigh they're brilliant although I recommend getting a flask for the hot water because the flask isn't as good xxx
