Baby drinking too much milk?

My 10 day old seems to have a very healthy appetite, but I’m worried she is having too much, if that’s such a thing? We are formula feeding, and making 90ml/3oz bottles. She will push it away or not take it when she’s had enough, but sometimes I feel like I’m making a lot of bottles up and she will finish it (over the span of an hour maybe). She doesn’t really spit it up, it stays down, and her nappies look as they should be. I’m getting overwhelmed trying to find advice online. Some have a daily total amount suggestion, others suggest to follow her hunger cues. If I follow the daily total amount then she exceeds on some websites. Just want to make sure she’s healthy. She’s definitely happy… once she’s had her milk at times.. and content.

My wee boy was a total gannet when he was first born. He’s now 15 months and still loves his food. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the suggested amount you get on the formula tubs and stuff. I was always told by my midwife that if he was happy enough taking the milk without needing any encouragement and was tolerating it (not being sick) then he obviously needed it 😊 you know what’s best for her although it might not feel like it at times, especially in the early days

Mine is also like this I make 3oz as he is still hungry after 2 so gives him the option he has either been leaving 15 ml or sucking the dry. He is 9 days old now.

How often is she having this and how much is she having a day? I have a sheet from the midwife and at days 6-10 they should be having about 500ml a day, my baby was having more like 600 though.

@Aimee so today since 6am, and it’s now 9pm, she’s had roughly 500ml and will definitely have another 90ml before we put her down for bed, so similar to you.
