Hey, like Jessica said, just leave your car anywhere you can (not blocking anything mind!) and tell them when you get up there. Your partner can move it later. I was induced so there was no urgent rush, and I was in for 6 days in total and my partner struggled nearly every day to park. He was often in the overflow car park down the road. So his experience wasn’t very good. Do not worry about it though, if it’s quick you’re going to be ok, and if it’s not it’s your partner that will sort it and you can focus on your baby ☺️ x
I went into hospital at the last 30 mins of my labour at 7 30 in the morning and we have had space to park the car, my partner even went to pay for the parking while I was labouring in the car 😅 we went in which took 10 minutes to get to the ward because I had to stop with every contractions and when I get there they said I am 10 cm dilated I had my daughter 30 mins later ❤️ How fast was your previous labour?
Awful. Constantly parking forever away, my partner was topping up his parking on the phone mid c section. Exactly 1 min prior to my son being born. Chose Bolton this time for several reasons but this being a major.
After my husband driving round the car park for 15 minutes whilst I was in active labour/having contractions, he had to leave me on a bench at the front whilst he went parking down the road and run back down. Not great but the rest of my experience at Wigan was really good. It was 11am so I guess it depends what time you go into labour too, as the car park is always busy in the day x
Hey, the midwife’s on the ward at Wigan told me not to worry about the parking, if when you get there there’s no parking they told me to just abandon my car, park it wherever and tell them when you get onto the ward, they will then pass your reg onto the staff that are in charge of the car park and they make a note of your reg and make sure you won’t get a ticket. They said it happens all the time. This is something I was really worried about when I was pregnant to the point that I rang the ward to ask 😂 in the end I ended up going into Labour at night time and there were loads of parking spaces! Hope this puts your mind at ease 😊
