Arrowe park - c section

Has anyone been a category 3 c section in arrowe park? I am apparently on the waiting list for the next week, but not entirely sure on the logistics. I’m 39w today. Any info would be helpful!

What does the categories mean? I had a c section but wouldn’t know what category it was…

I opted for a section after a failed induction which counted as an emergency (medically induced) but I can’t remember what category that was! X

Category 4 is elective, I’m category 3 as my due date is next week and there are no elective appointments left. I’ve literally just had a call I’m booked in for 03 May which is my due date, so posting this obviously worked! :) Do you know what times we’re visiting times?

@Sarah amazing good luck with everything! I couldn’t speak highly of the care I received to be honest. Errrm I think it was 1-3 and 6-7pm! Xx

@Sarah I was in 3 weeks ago it’s literally 1 visitor 1-3 and 6-7 xx

@Saskia does that mean your partner doesn’t stay with you?

No that includes your partner xx

I was in for 4 days he stayed the whole time, but bring plenty of stuff he can eat using a kettle such as pot noodle or pasta pots because they don’t give the partners any food at all xx

@Victoria you’re allowed to have one person stay with you on the delivery suite my partner had a pull out bed! I had 2 visitors at a time so I’m not sure if it’s meant to be one!

Sorry, I mean while you’re on the bay after the c-section before they give you your own room. My midwife said partners have to leave if you’re still in the bay when visiting is over? He could stay with my last baby because it was a Saturday (emergency section) so no one else was in the bays and I can’t imagine not being able to move for hours but him not being there to help x

My partner stayed the whole time we were in the bay, it wasn’t for long though. It didn’t really make a difference him being there or not though, he was just asleep in the chair. He’d had just as little sleep as I had. When you’re in your own room it has to be the same person that is your one person that stays. My OH doesn’t do great with other beds etc, specially not a camp bed and suffers with his back. We’d asked if I could swap and he could just visit during visiting hours and my mum would come and be with me. The answer was a straight no! We made it work though, he would leave just before the first visiting time and come back just after the last. He’d go home and sleep etc. The only chunk of time I was alone for was 3-6.
