Elective c section
Can people tell me positives about this ? My partner works offshore so I’m thinking of a scheduled section to ensure he is here for the birth
I have had to straightforward vaginal births 14 and 16 years ago so a big gap
Also worried because I’m older and my body will fail me so swaying for a section now
How far in advance do u get given a date to be sectioned and is it 38 weeks they do it ?

I am having elective c section,depends on trust when you find out your date. I am currently nearly 30 weeks and received my date today. I will be 39 weeks 2 days. Usually if pregnancy progresses well, c sections are performed at 39 weeks
Your body will definitely not fail you no matter which way you decide to bring baby earthside I had the most amazing experience c section with my baby xx
I’ve had my date since 28 weeks x
I been told I won't get my date until a week before so most likely be told at 38 weeks, but been told it be done around 39 weeks or just after. I know every trust is different though x

I’m getting my date at 34 weeks, I think around 36 weeks is standard. Elective sections with no complications for mum or baby are normally done in the 39th week x
