Experience has been great so far but haven’t yet delivered. Had plenty of friends go there and all good
I gave birth to my daughter at Lewisham hospital and the labour ward were amazing, even though i was supposed to be at the birthing center they really helped me through my labour and was so attentive. However postnatal ward was where the let down was as i had an emergency c-section i just felt like the nurses needed to be more understanding and attentive to mothers who have a c-section there were times where i was in so much pain and would ask for my pain relief and the nurses would take ages to bring it, this was due to either them passing on the ob to another nurse instead of them just doing it or they would have full blown conversations with each other at the desk and completely forget about you. This meant i was in so much pain for longer than i needed to. But one thing i would say is that if u are planning on breastfeeding there really good at helping and promoting breastfeeding they even have classes that u, baby and partners can attend to. Two years ago not good at all in the labour ward, I have heard great things about the birth centre though. Everyone has a very different experience, good luck wherever you’ll end up giving birth x
