Birthday party invites… HELP!

So my almost 3 year old wants to have a birthday party and we’ve agreed, however I’m torn over who to send invites to. We’ve handed some in to nursery for her friends and I’ve invited a couple of close friends and their kids who she sees regularly. I have a group of older friends with kids too, but we never see them so doesn’t know them, and some of their kids are much older so I wouldn’t invite them along as I don’t think they’d enjoy it. For context, the last time she saw them was about 6m ago at another party and I’ve not seen my friends since then either, we rarely talk actually. I want her party to be great with her little friends, but I worry inviting kids she doesn’t know will be strange for her. Would you invite them to keep the peace, or would you just not bother?

I personally wouldn’t bother especially if she hadn’t seen them in so long as you rarely talk. My son’s 3rd birthday I haven’t invited older nieces and nephews because they are all 14+ and don’t care to be a toddler party so I don’t see the point to invite to sulk I’ve just invited nursery, rugby and swimming friends so that he enjoys with his little friends.

I wouldn't bother. We are just inviting family and my mum friends who have similar aged children too.

Don't bother, only people your daughter will recognise/enjoy spending the party with x
