What should I do?

Hi everyone! I wanted to ask a question on here , because I’m not sure what to do . But 4 weeks ago I lost my mucus plug , and it was like a greenish color and I started to have labor symptoms and then a week goes by , the went symptoms away and my mucus plug as well . Now I am 39 weeks and 4 days , my due is August 19th btw! And I recently had my mucus plug show up again but with a hint of blood and I’ve been having pelvic pressure as well, so I am wondering if I should go in? Wanted to mention I went to last appointment Thursday and I am 3.5 cm and 90% effaced. This is my first child as well!

Yes you should go in

Have your waters gone? Are you having contractions x

@Sarah sadly no my water hasn’t broken and no contractions , only like pelvic pressure.

Track your contractions to the 5-1-1 rule …. that determines more if you should go in. Mucus plugs can regenerate hence why you’re seeing it again weeks later….

How far are you from where you are giving birth at? As far as the blood as long as its just tinged and not like a clot thats normal! Id personally say wait keep an eye out for contractions and time them. If you do end up feeling like its time or you are just worried id recommend calling beforehand so its faster when you get there. And ofc congratulations on creating new life it sounds like you are doing amazing so excited for you!🩷

@Johnna I am not that far , probably like 10 minutes away! And thank you so much , I appreciate it!!

Definitely call first and ask them before going in if you aren’t having any contractions and water hasn’t broken. I was 4cm dilated for a whole month if not more with my first pregnancy and after my membrane sweep at 40w lost my mucus plug (second time) and that time I also had bloody show but no other symptoms. Ended up still having to be induced at 41+5 as the plug regenerated again despite it being that late and a bloody show with that second lost plug.

Pelvic pressure could be a sign that your contractions will start soon

It sounds like active labor is very very near. Call L&D first before going in, If you’re water hasn’t broken or no contractions yet.
