How much is too much blood from mucus plug?

I lost it at 10am and there was a good chunk of blood (wiped 4 times with tissue and still had blood so went to go get a shower and a glob fell out of me onto the floor and a bit ran down my leg in the shower). Then I put a pad in and took it out at half 4 and checked the sticky side to see how much blood was there and it looked like it had pretty much soaked through the length of half the pad. Just gone to the toilet and wiped and there was a small glob of fresh red blood. Is this normal? I’m sure it is but my partner is worrying somethings wrong. Had cramps and a full aching feeling all day since loosing it.
