Waters have broken - how to encourage labour?

Hi everyone, waters broke at 7pm this evening (nearly three hours) went to hosp for midwife check and she was happy for me to come home. Any advice / positive stories about how to get contractions / labour going? Haven’t had any contractions yet. Thanks!

No, but I'm jealous

Awwhh my contractions personally never started but relax a bit, get oxytocin flowing, bounce on the yoga ball if you have one and my midwife said gentle exercise (although it’s a bit late so difficult to do!). Personally I’d try to conserve your energy as best you can. Good luck xx

My contractions came 60 hrs later!

My waters broke on Saturday at 12.30pm and I delivered yesterday at 9.30am. Started having contractions quickly on Saturday, but they stopped when I went into hospital to get my waters checked, and didn’t really start when we returned home. Got up 2am yesterday morning, put on oxytocin inducing TV, and bounced on my ball. Things picked up to contractions every 7 mins, then slowed right down. 7am we went out for a walk with kerb walking, contractions came on strong from 7.30 and he was here by 9.30. Midwife didn’t believe I was pushing so soon because I was just using up breathing! Hope your contractions start soon!

Any update?
