5 weeks and bleeding

So after ttc our 2nd for 7 months I got my BFP last week. Today I'm 5 weeks pregnant and 2 days ago I started spotting but today I've passed a few blood clots and bleeding a bit more. Ive contacted early pregnancy unit and they've said if I'm not bleeding heavy then it could be my body trying to clot the blood that I've been passing for the past few days but I just have a feeling something wrong. Has anyone had bleeding with some small blood clots (about the length of a penny but not particularly round) and baby been fine? I'm not in any pain.

Unfortunately they won’t scan you until your 6 weeks, it’s literally a guessing game until you hit that point they put mine down to implantation bleeding or miscarriage unfortunately mine was a miscarriage. I started with small clots and little blood then as each day passed it got more and more

I'll be 6 weeks in 3 days so I might just wait till then and go private rather than wait at a hospital and they won't do anything right? And thanks for letting me know I'll see how I get on in the next few days and I'm sorry to hear about ur miscarriage ❤️

@@EmmaThis isn’t necessarily true my hospital did scan me before 6 weeks I was scanned at 5+3 and unfortunately had a miscarriage. I also was scanned at 5+2 with my previous pregnancy and all was fine. It’s worth calling your EPU to check

Oh that’s odd because they wouldn’t have seen me before 6 weeks in my local hospital it’s only that the doctor made a mistake that I got seen. Literally when I got to the scan they said they wouldn’t be able to say to me accurately how the baby is developing as I hadn’t reached 6 weeks yet

I'm at Emergency gino clinic now. They told me they won't scan me but they will take bloods ect. I'm preparing myself for the worst tbf. 😔

Unfortunately I was correct.

I am so sorry 😔 x

So sorry to hear. It really is a horrible experience. Was me just 2 weeks ago today
