Usable and I love it! I have a Luxxen and an Everix. I loved Saxon, but felt it was too similar to Luxxen. Go for it ✨
Boy or girl?
@Jess boy
Go for it! I'm naming my son a name that apparently is too out there for half the people I know - Asa. But we love it and that's what matters! I think Saxon sounds cool and is definitely usable!
I definitely think it’s usable. It isn’t quite my style mainly because I know a million and one Jackson’s/jaxons and it sounds somewhat similar. But I think it is definitely usable. I’m pretty sure one of Elon Musk’s sons is named Saxon, haha. That was my first thought. And then I once had a teacher with the last name Saxon.
@Cali i didnt even link it to the similar sounding Jaxon 🤦♀️ i thought of it as we visited a saxon walled town recently
I never once thought of it linking to jaxon either. Go for it!
Saxon is a character in the white lotus
As a name in itself it sounds ok but being completely honest I’d wonder if the parents were racist. The glorification of Anglo-Saxons is a big thing in racist/ white pride circles. I had no idea Elon musks son was called that but makes me think it even more. Just my honest first impression.
I loved it, but my partner works with one (he’s lovely- but it would be kinda weird if they shared a name) . Went with Samson & I think it’s a rad name too.
@Sorrel I feel like that’s a stretch to just assume racism because it’s a common surname and the Anglo Saxons were just a key part of history In the creation of Britain xx
@Evie I didn’t say I’d assume, I said I’d wonder. And I would. Like if someone called their daughter Kylie you might wonder if they liked the Kardashians. A surname is different from a first name as 99% of the time a surname isn’t chosen just for that child, it’s a family name. Anglo-Saxons as people are a part of British history but unfortunately today it’s become a pretty loaded term often used by white supremacists. Similarly to how racists have co-opted the St George’s Cross. The flag itself isn’t racist but it’s become a symbol of lots of people who are.
I know somone in the last name Saxon and last names as first names are becoming more common these days plus it’s not far from jaxon which is quite a common name xx
