I had this with my first baby and at 14 weeks I’m starting to get it now. Physio and exercises is one of the best things to help. One thing I regret not doing was putting it on my birth plan for my midwife’s! They didn’t realise why it was so hard for me to move in certain positions. A good pregnancy pillow is key and just doing things like take a like instead of stairs, being careful when getting out of bed. I found it really hard first time and struggled to walk anywhere and I am scared this time round about how bad it will get. Mine did leave the second I gave birth which was a relief. Take it easy and look after yourself. Follow midwife pip on insta she does lots of posts of PGP too!
Thanks @Emily and @Eliza that makes me feel better um hoping the physio exercises help will have to be once they have given them to me. We're you given the belt (my midwife called it a prgenacy support strap) or do I need to buy one?
Definitely recommend a chiropractor who specialises in pregnancy too. That was the thing that actually helped mine on my first pregnancy. The physio's i saw didn't really help and in the end I was told to wear a strap. To be fair, that did help a tad. But the chiropractor treatment definitely kept me walking (just) to the end x
@Kat I had to buy the strap. But I found it didn’t really help me. Exercises like swimming can be good as it just helps you feel weightless.
Congratulations of your pregnancy 🥳 I started having my PGS around 32 weeks( everyone is different) 😊 the pain is coming and going, so depending on the day! I have been to physio as well and they can give you really good ways to get in and out of the bed, turning positions or exercise that can make it a bit better. The belt during standing/ walking definitely works for me , so depends on your body really and what works for you 😁
